We were fortunate enough to be able to spend the day last
Saturday with SF friends, Janet and Mark, during their recent
visit to Santa Fe. Mark was taking Janet to visit some of
his old haunts (somewhat to Janet's chagrin), as he used to live
in Santa Fe before we met them and before Janet and Mark were
married two years ago. Incidentally, their wedding weekend
was the last time we saw them, when we traveled from Puerto
Vallarta to Marin County, CA to attend their beautifully
executed, elegant yet casual event in April of 2005. This
time, after a delicious New Mexican cuisine lunch, the four of
us spent an enjoyable and leisurely, albeit rainy, afternoon
shopping at the Nambe outlet (where Janet hit pay-dirt!),
stopping for a quick coffee at Mark's favorite coffee spot and
finally lounging and chatting over a couple of bottles of wine
in Janet and Mark's very charming and luxurious B&B suite.
And I suspect that Mark achieved his goal of eating as much New
Mexico green chile as humanly possible that weekend! It
was great to see you guys. Come back soon!
(Unfortunately, we failed to take any pictures this time, but
here are Janet and Mark at their wedding.) |
